June 2008 DEL VALLE, TX (June 24, 2008) – School Board members, district officials, SHW Group Architects staff and Journeyman Construction staff joined for the ground breaking celebration for the new 9th Grade Center and Opportunity Center at Del Valle High School in the Del Valle Independent School District. The 9th Grade Center consists of a 77,000 square foot addition to the high school, and Opportunity Center is a stand alone 61,000 square foot facility on the same campus. Journeyman Construction was selected as the general contractor for the $26.3 million project at the June 10th school board meeting. The project will be completed August of 2009 in time for both buildings to be available for the new school year. This is Journeyman Construction’s first project with Del Valle ISD and SHW Group Architects. June 2008 SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 5, 2008) – The Judson Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the construction contract for Journeyman Construction to serve as the general contractor for the new Horizon Pointe Elementary School. The $14.7 million project is the second of three new elementary schools in the district’s Bond 2006 Proposition #1. The facility encompasses 76,000 square feet of classrooms, library, cafeteria/auditorium, and administrative space. Four hundred children in grades K through 5th will attend the new school beginning Fall 2009. April 2008 SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 10, 2008) – Journeyman Construction opened the doors to its new San Antonio branch office Monday April 1st, located in the Pyramid Building at 610 NW Loop 410. The company currently has over $40 million worth of construction projects in progress in the San Antonio area and will manage its South Texas projects from the new office. Clients in the region served by Journeyman Construction include Bexar County, South San Antonio ISD, San Antonio ISD, UT Health Science Center, UTSA, and the Alamo Community College District. December 2007 ROUND ROCK, TX (December 12, 2007) – Journeyman Construction is awarded the contract for the Old Settlers Park Complex Project B for the City of Round Rock, Texas. This $12.4 million project will improve and expand the existing sports complex for the community north of Austin. Round Rock with nearly 100,000 residents is often referred to as the "Sports Capitol of Texas" November 2007 SAN ANTONIO, TX (November 20, 2007) – Bexar County has selected Journeyman Construction as the general contractor for their new Adult Probation Office in San Antonio. The new 100,000 SF space will provide greatly needed relief for the over-crowded facilities currently being used by the Counties Corrections Department. |
